<p>A method and a system for transporting the revision level information of a portable terminal are provided normally to process the revision level, which is included when transmitting a classmakr change message to a corresponding network performing a handover operation, in a revision level format that a portable terminal supports. A second network(300) requests a revision level that a portable terminal supports(307). The portable terminal confirms the version information which is set up by corresponding to the request, includes the revision level that the portable terminal supports to a classmask change message based on the confirmed version information, and transmits the message to the second network(309). The portable terminal resets up the version information of the network(311), and transmits a handover request message to the second network in the case of sensing the handover to the first network(100) while using a service by connecting to the second network(313). The second network checks the revision level of the portable terminal when receiving the handover request message from the portable terminal(315). When the revision level checking result shows that the portable terminal supports the first network of upper version, the second network transmits the handover command message to the portable terminal(317).</p> |
