An LCD device is provided to control a central voltage and the amplitude of a voltage signal supplied to an LCD panel easily, and to control generation of flickering or deterioration. A driver IC(2) outputs an analog voltage signal. A lookup table(12) specifies bit allocation data individually corresponding to negative polarity data and positive polarity data of an image signal to maintain positive and negative balance. A gradation display voltage compensator(1) outputs the specified bit allocation data to the driver IC for every certain display block according to the positive and negative polarity data of the image signal. The gradation display voltage compensator defines certain display blocks along a horizontal line of a liquid crystal display, and has the lookup table on each display block along the horizontal line. |
