Multi-dimensional digital raw data converting method for transforming e.g. multi-dimensional medical image, involves calculating wavelet transform of charged part for generating coefficients, and saving calculated coefficients

The method involves routing an image comprising displacement of multi-dimensional frame in the image along an image axis, and acquiring and charging multi-dimensional digital raw data of part of the image defined by the frame in a buffer memory. A multi-dimensional wavelet transform of the loaded part is calculated with the help of a filter e.g. mono-dimensional separating filter, with compact support for generating low-frequency and high-frequency coefficients, and the calculated low-frequency and high-frequency coefficients are saved. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for converting multi-dimensional digital raw data corresponding to points constituting a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image (2) a method for synthesizing a plane in a three-dimensional image converted by a wavelet transform.
