The retainer (14) has cylindrical junction zones (18) connecting two anchoring zones (16), where the device is made of sintered/fused biocompatible powder containing specific percentage of cobalt, chromium, molybdenum, manganese, silicon, iron, nickel and carbon. Each anchoring zone has a surface that is stuck on an inner surface i.e. lingual surface, of a tooth e.g. incisor tooth (10), of a patient. The zones (16, 18) are formed of a single piece. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a customized retainer.
