<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which does not cause deterioration of image quality resulting from selection of particle size and degradation of toner or the like and overfilling a toner supply part with toner, and provides high image quality in a developing device provided in an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device for developing a latent image formed on the outer circumferential surface of an image carrier to be a visible image with toner is equipped with the first and the second plate type partition members (53 and 54) partitioning the inside of the main body (50) of the developing device to a toner storage part (55) for storing the toner t, and a toner supply part (56) having a developing roller (66) supplying the toner to the image carrier.
