<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting a packet in a wireless network of nodes. <P>SOLUTION: At a beginning of a scheduled time slot, a metric in the node is set, in which the metric indicates a need to transmit a packet to a receiver in the wireless network.
