A compound for an organic electroluminescent device is provided to form a thin film conveniently by any one of a wet method and a dry method, to realize hole-transport and electronic transport property and to show excellent light-emitting property. A compound for an organic electroluminescent device comprises a compound indicated as the following chemical formula (I). In the chemical formula (I), Ar^1 and Ar^2 are independently a divalent organic radical containing any one of an aromatic ring, condensed ring and heterocyclic ring within their structure or a single bond; Ar^3 and Ar^4 are independently a monovalent organic radical containing any one of an aromatic ring, condensed ring and heterocyclic ring within their structure, wherein Ar^3 and Ar^4 bonded to the same nitrogen atom and can form a ring structure; and R^1 shows a monovalent organic radical, hydrogen atom or fluorine atom.
