DISPLAY PANNEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to simplify manufacturing of shading patterns to prevent light leakage and color mixing between color filters, thereby cutting down a manufacturing cost. A display panel comprises as follows. A lower substrate(100) defines blue, red, and green pixels. A first shading pattern(300) is formed in a border area of the blue, red, and green pixels. Plural blue color filters(210) are disposed in plural blue pixel areas. Plural red color filters(220) and plural green color filters(230) are individually arrayed in plural red pixel areas and plural green pixel areas. Plural gate lines and plural data lines(440) are disposed on the first shading pattern. Plural TFTs(420) are individually connected to the plural gate lines and the data lines. Plural pixel electrodes(470) are individually connected to the TFTs. An upper substrate(1000) has a common electrode(1100), and is separated from a lower substrate to make the common electrode oppose the pixel electrodes. A liquid crystal layer(2000) is interposed between the upper and lower substrates.
