PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for increasing intervals between bills for stably conveying the bills. SOLUTION: The bill processor has a separation part 1, conveying paths 2a and 2b, a monitoring sensor 3, a pool part 11, and an arm part 14. Based on a monitoring result on bills in the pool part 11 by the monitoring sensor 3, the arm part 14 is operated quicker than predetermined timing so that a bill is conveyed while being pressed to the conveying path 2b for increasing an interval to the following bill when the conveying interval to the following bill is shorter than a reference interval time.
