PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent cleaning device for an air conditioner, small-sized, facilitating assembling, and preventing degrading of air conditioning performance of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: This cleaning device for an air conditioner includes: a body case 26 rotated along the surface on the upstream side of an air filter 17 built in an indoor unit 2 (the air conditioner) and having an opening 27 facing the air filter 17; and a cleaning body 30 facing the opening 27 and adapted to remove dust adhering to the surface of the air filter 17, wherein while the body case is rotated along the surface of the fixed air filter 17, dust adhering to the surface of the fir filter 17 is scraped off so that stable cleaning for the air filter 17 can be performed to improve the dust collecting efficiency. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to rotate the air filter 17, the strength more than needed is not given to the air filter, and higher accuracy more than needed is not required for finishing.
