PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide film which has a reduced amount of foreign substances and excels in thickness uniformity even in the case of undergoing a high speed cooling and solidifying step. SOLUTION: The biaxially stretched polyamide film is produced with the use of a polyamide resin composition having a terminal amino group concentration [AEG] and a terminal carboxyl group concentration [CEG] of 40-60 equivalents/ton and a phosphorus atom concentration [P] of 1-30 ppm. The polyamide film having a reduced amount of foreign substances and excellent thickness uniformity is obtained by melting a polyamide resin composition having such a specific range of [AEG] and [CEG] and such a specific range of [P] in an extruder, extruding the melt from a die, and allowing the extrudate to electrostatically adhere to a cooling roll to obtain an unstretched film, and stretching the film in the lengthwise and crosswise directions.
