It is the object of the present invention to provide: a liquid crystal spacer that can precisely control the interval of two substrates in producing a liquid crystal display apparatus, and can be firmly fixed to the surface of the substrate; a spacer dispersion that can precisely control the interval of two substrates in manufacturing a liquid crystal display apparatus, and can make spacer particles firmly fixed to the surface of a substrate and a spacer dispersion that can precisely dispose spacer particles at a predetermined position on a substrate, a method for producing a liquid crystal display apparatus; and a liquid crystal display apparatus. The invention is a liquid crystal spacer, which comprises a base particle and an adhesive layer provided on the surface of the base particle, the apparent center of the adhesive layer being not identical to the apparent center of the base particle.
