<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biogas generation system, capable of generating a biogas from organic waste while continuously removing hydrogen sulfide contained therein at high level by adsorptive removal, and to remove high-concentration hydrogen sulfide gas desorbed from an adsorbent without generating industrial wastes. <P>SOLUTION: The biogas generation system includes a methane fermentation tank 56 for anaerobically fermenting organic waste to generate biogas; and a gas purification device 21 for purifying the biogas by repeating adsorption step of adsorptively removing the hydrogen sulfide contained in the biogas by a porous adsorbent and regeneration step of desorbing the adsorbed hydrogen sulfide with regeneration gas followed by discharging. The system further includes one or more biological reaction tanks for biologically treating the organic waste before or after anaerobic fermentation, and the discharge gas containing the desorbed hydrogen sulfide is directly or indirectly introduced to at least one of the biological reaction tanks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
