<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage controller and a control method which reduces power consumption with large capacity by suppressing power consumption while maintaining performance. <P>SOLUTION: The storage controller is provided with: a plurality of nonvolatile memory modules having a plurality of nonvolatile memories which store data from a host device; a nonvolatile memory control part which controls input/output of data from/to the host device by controlling power sources of the nonvolatile memory modules. The nonvolatile memory control part turns on only a power source of a specified nonvolatile memory module when the data is read/written with respect to the specified nonvolatile memory module at predetermined timing based on a data read/write request from the host device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
