<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital video signal processing device capable of storing, in a single memory, a video image and a graphic image having data formats different from each other, and of respectively displaying the stored video image and graphic image. <P>SOLUTION: This digital video signal processing device receives encoded data packets representing video image information in a compressed format and a component format. A video decoder 1509 and an associated video RAM 1513 are used to decode and decompress the video packets, to form groups of video image representative digital words. The video decoder 1509 includes an on-screen display (OSD) unit 1509-9, which converts a graphics bit map stored into a part of the video RAM 1513 into groups of graphic image representative digital words. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
