<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone anchoring device to firmly fix a rod to a shank. <P>SOLUTION: The bone anchoring device connects a fixing element having a shank (2) to be anchored to a bone or a vertebra with a rod having at least two anchoring elements, and includes a rod (9) made of an elastic material, a receiving part (3) connected to the shank (2) to receive the rod, a seat (8) for the rod set at the receiving part and a contact surface with the rod, and a lock device (10) to fix the rod in the seat in cooperation with the receiving part, wherein the rod contact surface of the seat and/or the rod contact surface of the lock device include(s) engaging structure (11, 12) to engage with the rod, which have an asymmetric cross section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
