PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route guide device for a user to easily understand the advancing direction shown by an arrow mark. SOLUTION: Fig. shows the arrow mark YJ1 when a time lapses in the order of the Fig.(a)→(b)→(c)→(d)→(e). The arrow mark is not displayed in a situation indicated in the Fig.(a), because a distance between a current point of a vehicle and the last guide point (guide point-vehicle distance, hereafter) is a prescribed distance (700 m) or more. The display of the arrow mark YJ1 is started when brought thereafter into a situation indicated in the Fig.(b), because the guide point-vehicle distance gets to the prescribed distance or shorter, and the arrow marks YJ indicated in the Fig.(b)-(e) are displayed repeatedly. The arrow mark YJ1 is an arrow mark with an arrowhead YE moving toward an end point E1 (referring to Fig.(e)) advanced by an arrow mark end point distance (for example, 900 m), along a travel route, using the current position of the vehicle as a start point B1 (referring to Fig.(b)), and having a line segment continuous from the arrowhead YE up to the current position.
