PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and an information processing method for efficiently performing DMA transfer by using a descriptor. SOLUTION: In this image processor 1, a CPU 2 stores register setting values to be set in a rotator 11 as a module and a variable power unit 12 and the register addresses of the rotator 11 and the variable power unit 12 in which the register setting values are set in a memory 4 as descriptor information, and a setting information reading part 13 reads the descriptor information from the memory 4, and transfers it to the rotator 11 and the variable power unit 12, and address checkers 11b and 12b of the rotator 11 and the variable power unit 12 check whether or not the transferred descriptor information is to be set on the basis of the register address, and when it is decided that it is to be set, the descriptor information is set in the own-register.
