PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of efficiently identifying the image of a subject from a photographed image, thereby appropriately processing the image of the subject. SOLUTION: An identification means is provided with: a region division means for dividing an image based on prescribed image data into uniform color regions; an edge contact decision means for deciding whether or not each region divided by the region division means is brought into contact with the edge of the image; an irregularity calculation means for calculating the irregularity of the region decided to be brought into contact with the edge of the image by the edge contact decision means; a blur level calculation means for calculating the blur level of the region decided to be brought into contact with the edge of the image by the edge contact decision means; and a subject decision means for deciding whether or not the image of the region is a subject image based on at least one of the irregularity and the blur level.
