PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational drive controller capable of performing feedback control with high accuracy by a deceleration mechanism with little backlash and moment of inertia. SOLUTION: The rotational drive controller includes a drive timing pulley 14a provided on a shaft of a motor 14; an idler pully 104a with a large diameter which performs passive rotation by the drive timing pulley 14a; a timing belt 105 provided with a plurality of scales 105a which continue at prescribed distance on the surface; an idle pulley 104b with a small diameter which rotates integrally with the idle pulley 104a with a large diameter with the timing belt 105 hung over; a timing belt 109 hung over a passive timing pulley 12 which performs passive rotation by an idle pulley 104b with a small diameter; a line detector 111 for detecting the plurality of scales 105a provided on the timing belt 105; and a controller 112 for performing feedback control of the rotational speed or rotational angle of the motor 14 to the motor 14 by an output of the line detector 111.
