PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of realizing both efficient acquisition of electronic program information and power saving by efficiently controlling two tuners. SOLUTION: When a TV application program 101 is started, both the power of a first tuner part 123A that is a master and the power of a second tuner part 123B being a slave are turned on. The first tuner part 123A being a master is used for a viewing process or a recording process, and the second tuner part 123B which is slave is used for an EPG acquisition process (in a state where power consumption is 100% in the lowermost line of Fig.4). When the EPG acquisition process is completed, only the power of the second tuner part 123B is turned off with the power of the first tuner part 123A kept in the on-state (a state where the power consumption is 50% in the second or third line from the top in Fig.4).
