PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with a rotation speed detection device in which pull-out strength of a sensor holder is secured, the sealing performance of a seal is improved, and reliability is improved by maintaining detection accuracy. SOLUTION: In the wheel bearing device with a rotation speed detection device, the seal 11 includes a seal plate 21, which consists of a core metal 24 fitted to an outer member 3 and a seal member 25, and a slinger 22, which is formed in roughly an L shape in cross section and press-fitted onto the outside circumference of an inner ring 6, and a rotation speed sensor 29 embedded in a sensor holder 20 and an encoder 28 face each other. Side lips 25a, 25b and radial lips 25c, 25d are made to slidably contact the slinger 22 or a pulser ring 23 fitted on the slinger 22. An annular groove 34 of a rectangular shape in cross section is formed on the inside circumference of the end part of the outer member 3. An annular protruding part 35 having a wall surface 35a fitted into the annular groove 34 and inclined is formed on the engagement part of the core metal 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
