PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pile head structure of a steel pipe pile, and a pile head member that can firmly prevent the pile head member from coming off from a pile head even if the insertion depth into the pile head of the steel pipe pile is shallow, prevent a pile head steel pipe part from opening even if building load is applied to the pile head, eliminate or reduce interference with the ground and sediment around the pile head and achieve them without joining the pile head member to the pile head of the steel pipe pile. SOLUTION: The pile head member 2 is integrally provided with a cover plate part 3, an insertion plate part 4 and an outer fitting pipe part 5 and structured to locate the lower end of the outer fitting pipe part 5 above the lower end of the insertion plate part 4. The pile head member 2 is used installed in an extractable non-joined state with the insertion plate part 4 inserted into the pile steel pipe, with the outer fitting pipe part 5 fitted to the pile head of the steel pipe pile and with the cover plate part 3 abutting on the pile head end.
