PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer in which a polyolefin segment is bonded to a polycarbonate segment through a specific bonding group. SOLUTION: The block copolymer (C) comprises 1-99 wt.% of the polyolefin segment (A) and 1-99 wt.% of the polycarbonate segment (B), and simultaneously satisfies the following essential requirements (1)-(3). (1) The segment (A) is a residue of a hydroxy group-containing polyolefin having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000 measured by GPC, which is obtained by copolymerizing anα-olefin represented by CH<SB>2</SB>=CH-R (wherein R is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon radical, or a radical) and a hydroxy group-containing olefin. (2) The segment (B) is a residue of a polycarbonate having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000-150,000 measured by GPC.
