PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid type suspension system with high practicality. SOLUTION: The suspension system is provided with a function for determining that one of four front and rear and left and right suspension devices is abnormal by obtaining (a) a power generation electrical quantity Q<SB>G</SB>of a solenoid type motor possessed by respective shock absorbers and (b) a deviationΔL of an action amount of the respective shock absorbers relative to approaching-leaving action amount of respective sprung parts and respective unsprung parts, comparing the obtained four power generation electrical quantities of the absorbers (S31-S34) and comparing the deviation of the obtained four absorbers (S35-S42) when the vehicle travels for a certain period of time. The deviation regarding the power generation electrical quantity of the motor and the action amount of the absorber is an index regarding the operation state of the absorber, and determination of abnormality of the suspension device can be easily performed based on such an index.
