Pharmaceutical composition comprising a combination of a tramadol material and an anticonvulsant agent, said combination and its use for the manufacture of a medicament

Disclosed are combinations of a tramadol material and an anticonvulsant agent selected from topiramate, gabapentin, lamotrigin and (S)-1-(2-chlorophenyl)-1,2-ethandiol-2-carbamate, use of said combinations for the manufacture of medicaments for the treatment of pain or neurological or psychiatric disorders in a mammal and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them. The tramadol material and the anticonvulsant agent are present in said combinations in a ratio based on a fraction of their respective ED50 values, which ratio is from 1 : 1 to 300 : 1 or from 1 : 1 to 1 : 300.
