<p>A hand-off algorithm of a mobile node in a ZigBee network is provided to perform a hand-off operation when moving to another coordinator region. All end nodes assign a unique fixing network address in a network independent from a specific coordinator region, and all routers broadcasts the ID(IDentification) of the coordinator region periodically. All end nodes receive the ID of the coordinator region from a router before data communication. The all end nodes use the ID of the coordinator region and their network addresses. The end nodes recognize the coordinator region to which they are belong by always receiving the ID from the router. Even though the ID of a coordinator region is changed due to the movement of the end nodes and a hand-off operation, the end nodes are able to receive the ID of a corresponding coordinator region to perform communication based on the recognition of a current network to which they are belong.</p> |
