FILTER WITH CATALYST, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME AND EXHAUST GAS CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter with a catalyst which shows no change in the removal rate of soot even when regeneration of the filter is repeated for certain times but can reduce a noble metal catalyst and which has low pressure loss.

SOLUTION: The ceramic filter has a honeycomb structure having a plurality of through holes partitioned by cell walls in which both ends of the structure are alternately sealed with a sealant, and a support material and a catalyst are held on the surface of the cell walls. A specified amount of the support material is held in the one end side of the filter on the surface of the cell walls of the ceramic filter and the amount of the support material is relatively decreased along the direction to the other end. Moreover, the ceramic filter with the catalyst is provided with a catalyst support part.
