PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape measuring device and method, which determines an object shape in a shorter time after acquiring a reception signal. SOLUTION: This shape measuring device is equipped with: a correlation waveform operation part 131 for determining respectively mutual correlation between waveforms of a plurality of received reception signals and waveforms of transmission pulses by radiating each transmission pulse, while changing a position to the object, and determining a plurality of correlation waveforms; a delay time operation part 132 for determining an extreme value of the correlation waveforms, and determining a value giving the extreme value as a delay time relative to each of the plurality of correlation waveforms; a correction value operation part 133 for determining a correlation value for correcting the delay time relative to each of the plurality of correlation waveforms, based on a center frequency of the transmission pulses and a center frequency of the reception signals; a pseudo-wave front operation part 134 for determining a pseudo-wave front based on each delay time corrected by each correction value, or for determining a pseudo-wave front based on each delay time and correcting it based on each correction value; and a shape operation part 135 for determining the object shape, based on the pseudo-wave front.
