PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound pickup device which has sufficient noise suppression characteristics. SOLUTION: The sound pickup device according to the present invention has six or more sound pickup units, a processed signal generating unit, a power spectrum estimating unit, a gain coefficient calculating unit, and a multiplying unit. The respective sound pickup units pick up sounds in mutually different areas by using the output signal of a microphone array constituted by mounting a plurality of microphones. The processed signal generating unit generates a signal to be processed from signals from one or more predetermined microphones or sound pickup units. The power spectrum estimating unit estimates signal amounts of a desired sound source and signal amounts of other sound sources by frequencies from signal amounts of the respective sound pickup signals obtained by the respective sound pickup units. The gain coefficient calculating unit finds gain coefficients by the frequencies from the signal amounts of the desired sound source, signal amounts of all the sound sources including the signal amount of the desired sound source, and the signal to be processed by the frequencies.
