PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole repairing method which is applicable to the case where a manhole frame for repair is set after removal of pavement around a manhole frame when manhole repairing work is carried out, and facilitates adjustment of heights of an upper edge of the manhole frame and a pavement upper surface of a road. SOLUTION: The manhole repairing method has: a step of cutting a road section around the existing manhole frame into a circular shape or the like in plan, and into a circular arch or the like in cross section; a step of removing the cut road section around the existing manhole frame, the existing manhole frame, and a lid; a step of holding the manhole frame 21 for repair by a manhole frame setting tool 12 and conforming the height of a grounding plate 16 to the height of an upper rim 21a of the manhole frame 21; a step of mounting the grounding plate 16 of the manhole frame setting tool 12 on the periphery of a spatial section S of the road, and arranging the manhole frame 21 in the spatial section S; a step of fixing the manhole frame 21 to a lower pit 3 via anchor bolts 34; and a step of filling a pavement material 23 etc. in a space on the periphery of the manhole frame 21.
