PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using behavior history information, which can perform ambiguous search using only date and time and can retrieve a massive amount of data, by adding time and location information to electronic data recorded/photographed by a user, and by integrally managing it. SOLUTION: The method for using behavior history information uses a behavior history information recording apparatus 101 as equipment which collects metadata from various kinds of digital equipment connected to a home network 302, to manage the metadata as a behavior history of the user. Behavior history information recorded by the behavior history information recording apparatus 101 is output to a behavior history information management apparatus 201. The movement history information management apparatus 201 adds the behavior history information to the metadata given to the content received via the home network, and integrally manages it.
