PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile having a seat cushion and a seat back and capable of locking the seat back in its non-use position in an upper part of a cabin by lifting the seat back up to the non-use position together with the seat cushion and making a locking member provided on the seat back engaged with a striker fixed on a roof panel of a vehicle body and preventing the striker from being exposed into the cabin when the seat back is in its use position. SOLUTION: This automobile is provided with a cover 72 for the striker capable of moving between a covering position for covering the striker 62 to prevent the striker 62 from being visible from the cabin R when the seat back 12 is in its use position and an evacuation position for allowing the locking member 61 to be engaged with the striker 62 when the seat back 12 is in its non-use position in the upper part of the cabin R.
