A navigation system has a waypoint setting section (11) for setting a waypoint, a waypoint registration section (12) in which waypoint information set by the waypoint setting section and including propriety-of-display information that defines the propriety of display of the waypoint, a control section (17) for acquiring from the waypoint registration section the waypoint information on the waypoint that is set by the waypoint setting section and determining the propriety of display of the waypoint information based on propriety-of-display information included in the acquired waypoint information, and a waypoint display section (14) for displaying or not displaying, according to an instruction from the control section, the waypoint information of the waypoint set by the waypoint setting section. |
