<p>A connector removably receives a flexible circuit member therein and includes an insulative housing, a plurality of terminals mounted on the housing for engaging conductive leads of the flexible circuit member and an actuator rotatably mounted on the housing. The actuator is rotatable between first position at which the flexible circuit member may be inserted and a second position at which the flexible circuit member is secured within the connector. Each terminal includes a base, a deflectable reaction arm having a flat upper surface upon which the flexible circuit member is positioned upon insertion of the flexible circuit member within the connector and a contact beam for engaging a respective conductive lead of the flexible circuit member. While rotating the actuator from the first position to the second position, a pressing portion of the actuator maintains the flexible circuit member against the flat surface of the deflectable reaction arm to create an tactile "clicking" action.</p> |
