The housingless and keyless remote control is constructed from two plates (1, 2), at least one of which is preferably a glass plate or glass-like plate. All the electronic components (4), conductor tracks (5) connecting them and an energy store (7) are arranged and, as far as possible, printed on that respective side of the plates which points towards the other plate. One of the plates (1) has a touchpad (3) integrated or inserted in it. The remote control is switched on and off by a position sensor (8), which switches the remote control on and off on the basis of the position or orientation thereof.
