<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutter allowing a cutting start point, an end point and a state during work, to be visually confirmed while securing high dust collecting efficiency by efficiently guiding dust to an intake port of a dust collecting cover regardless of the cutting depth. <P>SOLUTION: An electric cutter (a portable cutter) 1 comprises: a base 8 moving on a workpiece W; a drive source built in a cutter body (a tool body) 2 turnably connected to one end of the base 8; a rotary blade 3 rotationally driven by the drive source; a protective cover 4 covering a part of the outer periphery of the rotary blade 3; and a dust collecting cover 12 sucking and collecting dust from a suction port 12a opened to a part of the outer periphery of the rotary blade 3. A guide plate 8A for guiding dust to the suction port 12a of the dust collecting cover 12 is turnably provided at the base 8, and an energizing means is provided for energizing the guide plate 8A around its shaft (a turning shaft) 9 toward the workpiece W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
