PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing apparatus for providing requested information to an authorized user without specifying the user. SOLUTION: The information providing server 20 for retaining information and transmitting via a communication line the information requested to be acquired has: a request receiving part 21 for receiving an acquisition request; an access history information taking part 22 for taking route information out of the acquisition request, the route information showing a route by which the information requested to be acquired has been reached; an access history information confirming part 23 for referring to the route information and checking whether or not access has taken a route preset for obtaining information; an information processing part 26 for taking out the information requested to be acquired, if the access is determined to have taken the preset route; and an information transmitting part 27 for transmitting the information requested.
