<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode which achieves a reduction in thickness and superior productivity, and suppress the irregularity of light distribution characteristics to exhibit uniform brightness in all directions, and to provide an LED light. <P>SOLUTION: The light distribution characteristics I of the light-emitting element 6 of an LED 2 constituting a proximity optical system is given by (θ)=k×cosθ+(1-k)×sinθ, where k is determined to be equal to or less than 0.8. The light-emitting element 6 and an optical surface are formed integrally by a transfer mold method. Light in the X axis direction emitted from the LED 2 to reach a reflective mirror 3 hardly causes total light quantity deviation in an effective projection range, and is reflected by the reflective mirror 3 to project almost uniformly in the Z axis direction. This provides a flat lighting device which has a large reflective mirror surface with no brightness difference thereon and offers fine appearance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
