<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture heat-sensitive paper by a curtain coater. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing apparatus of the heat-sensitive paper by a curtain coating machine comprising an upstream curtain head 1a for a heat-sensitive layer and a downstream curtain head 1b for a protective layer, and a guide plate 2, a coating width adjusting device is provided which is facingly set on both ends upstream of the guide plate 2, with the position adjustable in the width direction, runs a central part of heat-sensitive layer paint jetted from the curtain head 1a for the heat-sensitive layer on the guide plate, and runs both ends in the direction opposing to the flow on the guide plate for recovering. The coating width adjusting device comprises edge guides 3 on the plate, auxiliary guides 4, and a separation plate 5. A landing position on the guide plate 2 of protective paint tb jetted from the curtain head 1b for the protective layer, is located on slightly upstream or slightly downstream of the lower end of the edge guide 3 on the plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
