A refrigerator is provided to check the inside of a low pressure chamber in a decompressed state without opening the low pressure chamber. A low pressure chamber(24) is mounted in a storing chamber for decompression below atmospheric pressure and includes a decompression unit and an upper opening(42b) formed with a stepped portion and covered by a glass element(43). An annular packing(45) is mounted in the opening along the stepped portion for covering all the upper, lower and side surfaces of the end of the glass element. |
