A redundant-structured communication device capable of inhibiting enlargement of a circuit size and detecting abnormality in set information. The redundant-structured communication device has a first processing part and a second processing part, which are alternately assigned to an active system and a spare system, and concurrently carry out the same processing on input data supplied from an external communicating party to output. The communication device is characterized by that it includes a comparison unit which detects an error in the first and second processing parts by comparing the output data output from the first processing part with the output data output from the second processing part.
