Methods for design and production of flexible tubes having improved flexibility and resistance to collapse are disclosed. Methods for injection molding flexible tubes and providing lateral support member(s) arranged to provide improved support to reduce collapsing of flexible tubes. Methods for using and fabricating flexible tubes are provided for support member shapes, including annular, helical, and narrow ribs, coils, wide supports, and other flexible tube cross sectional shapes, including hydrofoil shapes. Methods and designs are disclosed for providing an improved diving mouthpiece used for underwater breathing equipment which can reduce jaw fatigue, reduce chaffing of mouth soft tissues and provide increased structural integrity. Methods are provided for reducing mouthpiece collapsing around a transverse axis under load created during use. Molding methods and designs are disclosed for reducing matepal costs, material weight, fabrication time, manufacturing costs and improving function, structure and/or styling for diving mouthpieces. Other methods also disclosed.
