<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a wheel guard that can be fixed and unfixed easily with a single operation in a short period of time by the turning operation of an operating lever. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel guard 1 which is a component detachably mounted to a mounting shaft of a power tool provided with a rotationally driven tip tool, comprises a protective hood 2 partially covering the circumference of the tip tool, and a fastening band 3 of cutout ring shape bound to the protective hood 2. Screw pins 6 are screw-inserted through a pair of bent parts 3a2, 3b2 opposedly formed at both peripheral ends of the fastening band 3, and one end of the operating lever 8 is turnably pivoted by a set pin 9 inserted through one end of the screw pin 6. The operating lever 8 is operated to turn around the set pin 9, and a cam part 8a formed at the end is engaged with the bent part 3b2 of the fastening band 3 to change the circumferential length of the fastening band 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
