<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock release device which smoothly operates with one hand, and a baby carriage provided with the lock release device. <P>SOLUTION: The lock release device mounted on a push frame of the baby carriage provided with the push frame, a leg frame, and a lock means can release the locking in an expanded status with one hand. There is provided the lock release device comprising: a rotary plate having an operating lever and shifting between a normal position and a non-normal position by rotation operation of the operating lever; a wire releasing the lock action by pulling the lock means to the emergency position of the rotary plate by the rotation; and a hand operating means reciprocated in the extending direction of the push frame and disposed so as to automatically reciprocate, and having a pushbutton for operating the reciprocation at one end, and an engaging lever at the other end.
