PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location confirmation system for improving the efficiency of search. SOLUTION: This location confirmation system is provided with: a plurality of lighting devices 1 for transmitting optical signals respectively; at least one portable communication terminal 2 carried by a person to be searched for receiving the optical signals transmitted from the lighting devices 1; at least one calling terminal 3 carried by a searcher for accepting an operation input to instruct the search of the portable communication terminal 2, and for displaying the acquired result; and a calling server 4 for transmitting a calling signal to instruct the transmission of an emergency signal to each lighting device 1, and for receiving a notification signal from the portable communication terminal 2 which has received the emergency signal, and for acquiring the location of the portable communication terminal 2, and for transmitting it to a calling terminal 3 as necessary. Thus, it is possible for the person to be searched to notify the searcher of his or her location without performing any special operation.
