PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display device that can prevent chromatic tone jump from occurring when adjusting white balance. SOLUTION: The color liquid crystal display device includes, in addition to a configuration of a well-known liquid crystal display device: a white balance (WB) adjusting thin-film transistor (TFT) 17; and WB adjustment lines 16 for driving the WB adjusting (TFT) 17. In this case, by adjusting the pulse width of a pulse-like voltage to be input to each WB adjustment line 16, a maximum brightness of a color to be displayed can be determined beforehand based on the adjusted pulse width; and the white balance in an image can be adjusted.
