PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship behavior prediction method and system for providing estimated arrival time of a ship at a destination in real time. SOLUTION: The ship behavior prediction method and system includes a receiving station device 42 for receiving AIS information and delivering the received information through an electric communication line 41, and a processor 43 connected with the receiving station device 42 through the electric communication line 41. The processor 43 constructs an AIS database 44, partitions a sea area where a ship S travels to a predetermined destination into a plurality of areas A1 to A6, creates standard travel information 45d for every area A1 to A6 based on the AIS information to construct a standard travel database 45, creates a correction table 46d for correcting the standard travel information 45d using the AIS information under a prescribed condition to construct a correction database 46, detects an entry area A4 of the ship S by the AIS information, and calculates estimated arrival time ETA to a destination D of the ship S by using the standard travel information 45d and the correction table 46d corresponding to the entry area A4.
