PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system for surely providing information of sightseeing facilities and the like to a user. SOLUTION: A navigation system 1 displaying a map 4 indicating the present position mark 5 of a moving body on a map comprises: a sightseeing facility database 31 storing the position of a prescribed sightseeing area and sightseeing facilities in the prescribed sightseeing area; and a control section 10 detecting whether or not the moving body has advanced into the prescribed sightseeing area or not. The navigation system 1 includes an automatic facility display mode wherein, when it is detected by the control section 10 that the moving body has advanced into the prescribed sightseeing area, the sightseeing facilities in the prescribed sightseeing area are automatically displayed on the map 4.
