PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid ejection device which suppresses the intrusion of foreign matters into a fluid reservoir before starting the use while suppressing the use of a material which becomes unnecessary after starting the use. SOLUTION: The fluid ejection device comprises a fluid reservoir to receive a fluid, a fluid discharge part to discharge the fluid, and a flow path forming part to form a fluid flow path from the fluid reservoir to the fluid discharge part. At least a part including a connecting location with the fluid reservoir of the fluid flow path is filled with the fluid before using the fluid ejection device for the first time after the fluid is received in the fluid reservoir.
